Right Wing Wordslinger
The Life and Times of a Birth Certificate

In the time between the 2008 campaign and now, the “birther” question has become the biggest joke on Conservatives since Arnold Schwarzenegger’s claim to be a right winger. Thing is, it wasn’t hard to make a gag of it either. It was the one thing that people seemed to obsess about even when the claims were proven false. It was the one piece of true extreme right wing behavior that the left could cling to in their storm of false accusations.

But it didn’t even belong to the right. In fact we didn’t even start it.

Flashback to the 2008 elections, the Hillary machine is in full swing against Barack Obama. The Democratic/Liberal crowd is at war with one another in an effort to get their man/woman elected while Conservatives are busy resigning themselves to the fact that their best chance was a RINO (Republican In Name Only) they didn’t even really like.

It was during this battle within the left that an organization that backed Hillary Clinton known as “The PUMAs”, an acronym for “Party Unity My Ass”, (we use acronyms everywhere in politics apparently) were seeking ways to get Obama out of Hillary’s way so she could have a clear shot at the White House. So they devised a brilliant plan that only a left winger could come up with; they would illigitimize Obama’s run for POTUS (Look another acronym!) by using the Constitutional law that anyone looking to be President must be born in America.

For now we’ll overlook the fact that anyone on the left would actually use the Constitution as it was written instead of warping it to fit their needs and focus on the story.

The Puma party sent out a number of chain emails questioning Obama’s origin of birth and asking others to raise the question themselves. It wasn’t long after that, that the question had caught fire and spread like the aforementioned element of the wild variety. From there, right wing bloggers would go on to ask the same question and the rest is history. Personally I could understand how such a simple thing that went unanswered for so long would raise so many questions but let’s take an inventory of what’s really going on here.

The main stream media did what I like to call “media jujitsu”. They are very proficient with this political fighting style and employ it often against the right, and it’s proven tried and true. All they have to do is take any action or words used by any republican or conservative individuals, reverse and twist them until anyone speaking against the left ends up with mud on their faces, and are forced to slink away in shame.

Using this strategy the DNC, the MSM, the MMFA, and the LOLOMGWTFROFL were able to take what many on the right thought was their most powerful swing and quickest way to defeat Obama, and used it to paint the entirety of the right as a lunatic fringe. Cheap move, I know, but the left has to take what we give them, and we don’t give them much.

But even with the insistence of the group of people who continued to push the birther question taking a big portion of the blame, it can’t be completely put on them. The question we should be asking is “Why is this even news?” The mainstream media seems to think it is, and why wouldn’t they? It’s their chance to legitimately paint the right with a very broad brush. Take a picture of a couple people carrying signs, interview a man about it, then include the word “Tea Partiers” and you have yourself a headline! Hi-ya! Bruce Lee himself would be impressed with kung-fu that strong.

To add to the media circus we have Republican presidential candidates wielding the birther question like the golden sword of righteous power, which in truth is actually the wooden stick of incessant annoyance, best used for beating dead horses.

Donald Trump, CEO of The Trump Organization and TV personality, began making allusions to his presidential run at CPAC by repeating the phrase “if I were to run for President”. He even has people on the edge of their seat waiting to see if the rumors about announcing his run for POTUS on the season finale of his reality show are true.

Now, aside from the amount of class a man has to have to announce his run for leader of the free world on his television show that starred the likes of Gary Busey, Trump’s star power shone in full force when he entered the birther fray. Taking the reigns of the birther movement and whipping the proverbial horses into a frenzy, Trump drove the birther argument to new heights.

This finally forced Obama to release a long-form version of his birth certificate, which is something that he could have done during the whole three years of his presidency in the first place, but why do that when there’s a fat cow to be milked. Obama can now crack jokes at the right’s expense, and in liberal politics, that’s worth its weight in gold. Speaking of gold it was Obama who had spent plenty of tax payer dollars getting his lawyers to fight lawsuits that would have forced Obama to show his birth certificate in the first place. So even if you aren’t a birther, you can go ahead and take this personally.

My advice is something my parents used to tell me about how to deal with jerks growing up. Just walk away. The more we feed into the nonsense the more ammo we hand to the people trying to bring us down. As far as I’m concerned, we have far more damning things to throw at Obama than his absence of a birth certificate, and as far as the MSM is concerned, they’re always going to try to pick the fight, and we waste too much time and energy fighting the wrong battles.

We don’t have the time to deal with myths when facts are staring us in the face. Our country is on the verge of economic meltdown, we have communists and socialists in the upper echelons of our government, and we have dangerous enemies within and without our borders. I’d say our priorities at this point are pretty clear.

The Sour Apple of Knowledge

As a kid, I can remember being told by my parents how easy I had it compared to what it was like when they were growing up, but honestly I’m starting to wonder if I will be able to say the same to my kids.

As a public school survivor, I can recall complaining about having to sit through math, English, and history classes. All I wanted was to go to P.E., learn how to throw stuff at other stuff, and then call it a day; all the while I was taking my education for granted. I never realized the importance of developing strong problem solving skills, or the necessity of knowing proper grammar and how it highly affects our communication skills in the business world, as well as our everyday lives.

Not to mention, how a bunch of old guys in white wigs would have a huge impact on my life hundreds of years down the road. I mean wigs? What was that about?

It seems nowadays that the current generation of school aged children will have a hard time learning anything with all the extra, unnecessary, curriculum the states have thrown into the public school systems.

With a 23-14 vote on a bill that was put forth by—surprise, surprise—Democratic Senator, Mark Leno of San Francisco, public schools in California are now mandated to teach “Gay History” in their classrooms. Suddenly the guys with wigs will become a lot more fabulous in nature.

They have left the decision up to each individual school system on what grade and subject matter they will teach gay history in, but if I may ask the question everybody is thinking—Why?

Senator Leno believes that educating the youth on the gay and lesbian community will eliminate bullying of the students who choose homosexuality or the transgender lifestyle but I feel this is going overboard. Disciplinary actions should be taken against any kind of bullying, but centering an entire lesson on the fact that somebody was gay or lesbian vs. what they accomplished will not stop kids from picking on one another. You don’t see the more intelligent students getting picked on any less and these are the people doing amazing things in the world every day, and with all due respect to the LGBT community, I’d rather be recognized for my accomplishments than my sexual leanings

This also puts a burden on our children and their parents. Instead of learning how our founding fathers brought the United States to life through the American Revolution and drafting The Constitution, or what sparked the beginning of the industrial age, American’s future leaders will now be learning topics their parents have no input in, and, horror of horrors, may go against their fundamental beliefs. The schools have now forced parents into a position where they have to explain to their children the nature of homosexuality, whether they choose to do so or not, and the children who are raised to believe that homosexuality is wrong are now forced to view it through a lens of normalcy.

If there is any one great example of diversity, its children, and the activists on the left, that claim to promote diversity, seem to try and saddle our children with a one size fits all legislation on a regular basis. Not every child is raised to believe that homosexuality is a moral choice. The parent may not want their child being taught how Harvey Milk was the first openly gay politician, over how the Wright brothers invented the airplane changing the world forever. Maybe it’s just me, but I find one to be more significant than the other.

Thing is, society is putting such intense pressure on kids nowadays to grow up too fast. For instance, at the age of 11, I was more concerned with who was going to come outside to play hide and seek with me, but it seems nowadays we’re more worried about 11 year olds getting each other pregnant.

The Philadelphia health department has begun encouraging children as young as 11 to order free condoms from their website Takecontrolphilly.org. Included on the website are videos explaining how to use both male and female condoms, graphic representations of sex being performed, and a guy who sounds like Barry White. I suppose teaching kids that Barry is essential to any sexual encounter is good, no matter what the age.

The website claims to encourage kids to participate in safe sex, while I see a website that encourages kids to just have sex. I wonder how often sexual intercourse crosses the mind of your average ten year old. My guess is not often, and fresh off their tenth birthday a child should be far less concerned about catching an STD from their fellow 5th grader and more concerned about waking up in time to catch their favorite Saturday morning cartoon.

I find it odd that the youth of America is being steered in the opposite direction from the moral values that have been handed down to us from generations before; lessons that have proven to work over eons. It used to be that any mention of sex around a child was a shame-worthy action, but Suzi Landolphi can ask high school kids to show their “orgasm faces” in front of a camera during a presentation that Chelmsford High School in Chelmsford Massachusetts had hired her to do.

The “where do babies come from” speech should be given by the parent in their time, and in their time alone. The state should have little say in this discussion or any other between and a parent and a child. . We have seen how good our public leaders are at making sure kids practice safe sex with abortion funding, and let’s not forget about all of the cool welfare benefits teen mothers get for raising children, sans dad. Our children don’t need an answer to a problem they don’t have yet, such as condoms for a child just beginning to learn their multiplication tables, nor do they need the who’s who in the gay community, and the last thing they need is the State pulling them away from the lessons of their parents.

If I were a parent, I would be keeping a watchful eye on the public schools. Remember that raising your kid is solely your responsibility in the end, despite what the statists may think. We are shaped and molded in our homes, and if America’s moms and dads remain vigilant, we can keep it that way.

Moore Money, Moore Problems

If I could choose a ruler for hypocrites, I would make Michael More Emperor, with Chris Matthews as advisor, and Al Gore as court jester. It’s not bad enough that these guys get rich off of railing against the very system that brought them their wealth and fame, but then they have to go and call other men who are as successful as them “evil”.

Emperor Moore “The Fat”, has been advocating for the throne since he first started making movies about how evil capitalism and capitalists are, all the while hiding the fact that he is, in truth, one of them. With an unintended sense of irony that seems to be lost on the left, he actually admits that he lives in an upscale part of town.

“I walk among them. I live on the island of Manhattan, a three-mile-wide strip of land that is luxury home and corporate suite to America’s elite….. Those who run your life live in my neighborhood. I walk in the streets with them each day” – page 51 of his book, Stupid White Men.

No worries though, when he needs to get away from the Bourgeoisie, he takes a trip down to his multi-million dollar beachfront vacation home in Michigan.

He sends his own children, not to the public schools whose teachers unions he so readily endorses, but to private schools. Why? His explanation was given in an interview done by The Guardian’s own Andrew Anthony. (Are you amazed as I am the British version of “The New York Times” would ask Moore an awkward question?) When asked why he decided on that course of action, Moore replied:

“Oh, I went to private school, just a genetic decision. My wife and I, we both went to Catholic schools, we’re not public-school people.”

Odd statement coming from the guy who tries to pass himself off as the working man’s working man; just some lowly stiff trying to make it in the world. What he doesn’t like to admit is that this lowly stiff makes millions off of his documentaries. His earnings are as follows.

Roger & Me: $6,706,368

Bowling for Columbine: $21,576,018

Fahrenheit 9/11: $119,114,517

Sicko: $24,540,079

Capitalism: A Love Story: $14,363,397

And keep in mind that these numbers were US gross alone. Odd, that his last movie was about the evils of Capitalism, but he uses the system itself to earn a total of over a $172 million dollars. What’s Moore about all this, (see what I did there?) is that it apparently wasn’t enough to make millions. Like a good and true socialist, Moore wanted more money.

After Capitalism: A Love Story was all said and done, and his millions raked in, Moore decided to sue the Weinstein brothers for $2.7 million for money owed from his movie Fahrenheit 9/11, which they helped produce.

Speaking of production, recently his Highness spoke at Wisconsin union rally, and told them “We’re going to do this together. Don’t give up.” Yet, during his filming of Capitalism: A Love Story, there was hardly a union member from the IATSE (The International Alliance of Theatrical Stage Employees) to be seen. Perhaps using the union was too costly for Moore, who is of course, just scraping by.

And the fun doesn’t stop there. Our socialist, money hating, documentarian also does speaking tours that charge upward $35,000 to whatever institution will have him. In fact, during his “One and a Half Man Show”, Emperor Moore spoke at The Roundhouse in London. At one point Moore raged against the entire staff, even the lowest earning worker, (“his people”) calling them “conmen and useless”. Why? Simple, he was only making $750 a night. In protest, the employees of The Roundhouse refused to come to work while Moore was putting on his show.

When Moore was fired from his editing job at the liberal rag “Mother Jones” for being completely incompetent on the job and a tyrant of a boss, he tried suing the magazine for $2 million for wrongful termination. In the end they settled out of court for $58,000.

He has even tried lying about his origins. He claims to be from the poor town of Flint Michigan, where his father worked his fingers to the bone as an autoworker and struggled to put food on the table. Then it came out that Moore’s family was from the middle class town of Davison, the next town over, and his dad worked at GM. He made a comfortable salary, was a member of the local country club, and had a pretty nice house to boot.

Liberals everywhere worship Moore as some kind of demigod, which leads me to the conclusion that the left refuses to look at the simple fact that he is a walking, talking, counter argument to everything he preaches, but if I can use Michael Moore as an ironic example: Capitalism works! Moore is living proof that a man with an idea can turn that idea into profit. For some reason, Moore and his adoring fan base of white, middle class people can’t seem to wrap their minds around it, and openly reject it!

Yet it is he and his fan base that instantly turns around and makes the money that pays for their American lifestyle, using the very system they rise against, without batting an eye.

All hail Michael Moore! Emperor of the hypocrites!

Bloggers Of the World Unite!

Due to inspiration by the united unionization and union-ness of the union workers of America, I have decided that Future Voices of America, and indeed all other blogs, should be unionized!

That’s right! We bloggers work tirelessly for minutes at a time trying to bring you the best in opinion, and often for no payment at all! I bring to my colleagues the brilliant idea that we change this today!

I hereby state my belief that we as bloggers should receive a modest salary of $100,000 a year and just the tiniest benefits package of around $50,000. This of course will be paid by you, the taxpayer, to the tune of 74.2% a year of it…but remember, as a blogger and citizen journalist I’m one the most precious recourses that America has and therefore cannot get enough help from the public sector. Anyone who says otherwise is just a downright greedy, horrible, person who probably has a poster of the Koch brothers on their wall somewhere.

This also means that we bloggers should be protected in our jobs. I’m talking tenure people! I mean, is this not America? Do I not have a right to a job? I reserve the right to freedom from work as well! In fact, if I even do blog, I shouldn’t even have to give facts along with my opinions! I could totally Rachel Maddow this and report fake news as real news!

“Nancy Pelosi has gone insane due to the loss of her Speaker title and has started throwing gavels at children like the Hammer Bros. from the Mario video games.”

That’s not even true, but it doesn’t matter! You’d have to go through miles of red tape to fire me for it. I’m talking mounds of paperwork, committee hearings, more paperwork, board reviews, and then more paperwork. It’ll cost so much money and take so much time you might just not bother all together. The convenience!

“Barack Obama eats hamburgers in front of Ethiopian kids, and then rides into the sunset on a fat cow carrying sacks of grain.”

Man, this freedom is great!

Also, due to the amount of hard work and dedication to our jobs I think it only fair that we retire around the age of 50. Tell ya what, you the taxpayer can pay my entire premium and I’ll just cover any growth in that premium that happens in the future. All in all it should only take about 12.1% a year out of your salaries. Don’t be a greedy private sector employee now!

Oh! I also think we should reserve the right to throw your taxpayer money into political candidates that will keep our awesome lifestyle-I MEAN…uh…our humble existence afloat. I mean who cares if we donate millions of dollars at candidates to support our cause. That money doesn’t belong to you anymore, and besides, we need someone at the top looking out for us bloggers.

Now we’re going to need you to ignore the fact that our payments and salaries are completely unfair and unsustainable. If you don’t and you try to change it, we’ll gather every blogger, liberal activist, liberal politician, and liberal news network to come crashing down on you, and it will be a hard, drawn out, ultimately time wasting fight. I’m serious! We will drop our keyboards, get doctor’s notes that excuse us, and march on down to the capitol of whatever state we’re in and picket like our engorged paychecks have no tomorrow!

Rest assured however that we will battle you tooth and nail to keep our cushy jobs, you know, “get a little bloody” as the saying goes. We might even be enticed to hit a girl or two.

Oh and whatever you do, don’t go here.

The Brotherhood Grim

With Mubarak out of the door in Egypt, and Gadaffi’s Libya threatening to erupt into civil war, the Muslim Brotherhood has been rubbing their hands together like a greedy union boss bargaining a tax payer funded pension plan.

Now as it stands, the Muslim Brotherhood is still banned within Egypt, but that has not stopped them from trying to form their own political party known as the “Freedom and Justice” party. It’s a much better choice than the “Oppressive Sharia Law Enthusiast” party. As well, the “Freedom and Justice” party claims it will be completely independent from the Muslim Brotherhood. You have to watch that Brotherhood, they really know how to pull a fast one.

Along with their spiffy new party name, the Muslim Brotherhood has promised to go against its very favorite thing to do and that is attack Israel in any way. You can’t ask an Islamic man to be friendly with a Jewish man (or especially woman), it’s like putting a gazelle and a lion in the same room and saying “now you two deny everything you know and play nice”. It should also be known that the Brotherhood has ties to Hamas, and many experts agree that they are one and the same.

(I’ve written a previous blog concerning Israel and Hamas. You can read it here:  http://www.facebook.com/home.php?ref=logo#!/note.php?note_id=394633252724)

YUSUF AL-QARADAWI, MUSLIM BROTHERHOOD: “Throughout history, Allah has imposed upon the Jews people who would punish them for their corruption…The last punishment was carried out by Hitler. By means of all the things he did to them – even though they exaggerated this issue – he managed to put them in their place. This was divine punishment for them…Allah willing, the next time will be at the hand of the believers.”

That was Al-Qaradawi, a clerical leader and unofficial “Father” of the Muslim Brotherhood, who was banned from Egypt 30 years ago and returned to lead prayers in Tahrir square once Mubarak was ousted. This same figurehead of the Muslim Brotherhood has, in the past two years:

-Called on Muslims to acquire nuclear weapons “to terrorize their enemies.”

-Called jihad an Islamic moral duty and said Muslims are permitted to kill Israeli women because they serve in the army.

-Affirmed his support for suicide bombings.

-
Called the Holocaust a divine punishment of Jews

-
Wished for the opportunity to kill a Jew before his death.

Despite the crystal clear need for Israeli blood the Muslim Brotherhood has kept a low profile and seeks to sneak its way into Egypt’s political stage by assuring Egyptians that it wants nothing more than peace which is a hard stance to maintain when you have had a “kill everyone” twitch for the past thousand years.

Egypt, along with its new Muslim political party, was a close ally to Israel, and with its allies taking a much lighter approach to Iran these days, and the Muslim Brotherhood issuing fatwas for the Islamic peoples to rise up in Libya, (Fatwa- a legal pronouncement in Islam, issued by a religious law specialist on a specific issue.) it’s not looking safe outside its boarders.

What this means for America

I think any right minded (and I use the word “right” politically) person would agree by now that the Islamic sect of the Muslim faith are out to kill us, both by publicly stating it, and carrying out terrorist acts such as stuffing a bomb down their underoos in the name of Allah. Despite all this, the left try to treat Islamic radicals like they don’t exist and try to reassure anyone who will listen that there is no “bogyman” in the closet, and when something does inevitably happen the most they can come up with is “well it’s your fault for being a hatemongering, fat, American”.

If only we can get rid of that Tea Party, the terrorists will drop everything and it will all be rainbows and unicorn giggles.

Meanwhile, in the real world, Israel is fighting off a nearly all sides battle to keep terrorist organizations and their ilk from running wild. Since they are our only solid ally in the region it is very important that we help keep them afloat. They are on a face to face basis with their enemies, and between Hamas launching rockets into Israeli cities like it’s a national past time, and Palestinians planning events such as “The Day of Rage” to stop Israeli settlements from being built on Israeli land, they have a hard enough time on their own.

They are the front line against our Middle Eastern enemies, and we should treat them as such. Any lasting peace in that region will come from a well armed, well defended Israel.

Should Israel fail and our influence in the middle east whither as a result, you would see a mass uniting of Middle Eastern states under Islamic rule which would then increase not only terrorist attacks against other countries such as the US and Britain, but also the much larger threat of a slide out of our own social structure due to severely increased Islamic influence brought about by what is known as a “Stealth Jihad”.

A report issued from a panel of national security analysts and sponsored by the Center for Security Policy explains Stealth Jihad: “This form of warfare includes multi-layered cultural subversion, the co-opting of senior leaders, influence operations and propaganda and other means of insinuating Shariah into Western societies,”

This same report went on to put the Muslim Brotherhood as the number one player in pushing this agenda, and do not think that their waiting for a middle east takeover to start their agenda. They already work to bring about their stealth jihad through such organizations as the Council on American Islamic Relations (CAIR), the Muslim Student Association, and the Islamic Society of North America.

Through these organizations, and in time, they hope to bring about an acceptance of Sharia law to the United States which will, in the end, help bring about a worldwide Muslim state called a “Caliphate”. You see, while their physical terrorist attacks cause fear, it is their long term goals that are much more frightening.

“The process of settlement is a ‘Civilization-Jihadist Process’ with all the word means. The Ikhwan [Muslim Brotherhood] must understand that their work in America is a kind of grand Jihad in eliminating and destroying the Western civilization from within and ‘sabotaging’ its miserable house by their hands and the hands of the believers so that it is eliminated…” – Excerpt from Explanatory Memorandum: On the General Strategic Goal for the Group by Mohamed Akram

How to win

Well for one we can start calling things for what they really are. Calling a German Sheppard a Chihuahua doesn’t negate the fact that it could rip your arm off and calling terrorism “man caused disasters” doesn’t change the fact that a group of people were planning, are planning, and will further plan to kill you. Awareness is key in any battle, so put your ear to the ground and keep your eyes open.

We’ve seen from the Tea Party alone how well the American people can mobilize and work together when our way of life is threatened, and with a liberal government not supporting our Israeli allies without and the Muslim Brotherhood working from within, it’s up to us to take a stand. Call them out and don’t be afraid. Remember, they want us subjugated or dead, but that can only happen if we let them.

Elect leaders who don’t cater to the global opinion. It’s as simple as that. We need strong supporters of Israel and people who aren’t afraid to take a stand against our enemies. Our current administration seeks to tip toe around the subject, and ignoring a problem has never ever solved it.

Finally we need to increase our understanding. Not all Muslims believe as the radicals do, and in fact some outright condemn it. These people in particular need to be supported if we are to exemplify the values of the United States and stand solidly against the Sharia agenda.

We are a free nation, and because of this there will always be a group of people who think they know how to rule you better than you do, ready to break down your door and make you do it. Whether it be a liberal group looking to tax you into submission or a religious extremist seeking to force you into their laws, as long as you have the will to stand up and fight they will fail like Christina Aguilera singing the national anthem. In the words of one of my favorite radio show hosts “We’re right. They’re wrong. End of story.”

The Art of Poor

You would think by the way the left fawns over the poor they would have an amplified respect for them, but obviously that’s not the case.

In fact, liberal speech is a lot like a magic act when it comes to the poor. You get so busy watching one hand that it is easy to forget to watch the other. Before you know it, they have managed to grab your paycheck and are distributing your earnings to whoever will trade their vote for it. And no, you won’t be getting a refund after the show - no matter how much you hated it. For the next trick, they will make your rights disappear.

“But helping the poor is a good thing, you right wing hatemonger! Even your beloved Jesus talked about helping the poor,” argues the liberal atheist. And, it’s true. In fact, He said in Mark 14:7, “For you always have the poor with you, and whenever you will, you can do good to them; but you will not always have me.” As is His way, Jesus will come back into play later.

Liberals love using the poor as an excuse to milk more money from what they deem to be “the wealthy” - a term they use loosely. Lately, any income over $250,000 per year is considered filthy rich, and is dealt with accordingly through tax hikes. The catch is, a lot of that cash most likely came from a small business, which needs that capital to stay afloat and retain or hire employees. The employees (a.k.a. the middle class) can then make money to keep them out of poverty.

“No,” says the liberal politician with more money than God. “We need that money you so dutifully earned to pay for this poor woman’s abortion that she couldn’t afford on her own.” (It’s in the healthcare bill.) Thankfully, liberals will always be here to have the backs of the irresponsible, which is what a lot of their ideals really boil down to - handouts for the irresponsible. Go ahead and stay home. Take all the drugs and have all the promiscuous sex you want, because with the left in charge, the government will always pick up the tab.

The thing is, the government isn’t exactly full of that mythological “Obama money.” In fact, it’s just that - mythological. The working men and women are the ones who pay for the government’s helping hand.

“But what about the people who have been laid off? It’s not their fault they’re jobless. They need help!” Yeah, I’m getting to that.

In the wake of multiple tax hikes, jobs have become scarcer than Joe Biden’s charity donations.  Business owners can no longer afford to put people to work.  An increasing amount of the taxes are put towards what the left deem “the poor,” but in truth, the handouts shackle them to lower tax brackets by keeping the people in a “damned if you work, fed if you don’t” circumstance. An honest working man does not a reliable lefty voter make.

We are too interdependent on one another for tax hikes to be a solution. Without the rich, there is no business to employ workers. Without workers, there is no product sold or made. Without product, there is no money being made. Without money being made, there is no pay. Without pay, there is no employment. Without employees, there is no business. So no matter how high up the tax bracket the government looks, penalizing the high-income earners benefits no one, especially the poor.

Meanwhile, the Americans relying on welfare have become so dependent on it, they vote in whoever will continue to write their checks, or even increase them. The liberal left is more than happy to oblige. In 2009 alone, dependence on the government grew nearly 14%, and continues to multiply by leaps and bounds with help from the left.

To add insult to injury, the left constantly uses the needy as a shield against all attacks that question their holy social programs.

America’s unwed mothers cost taxpayers $112 billion every year through various federally funded programs. If some of these programs are cut to discourage illegitimacy, liberals will kick and scream about how the right hates children and takes pleasure seeing poor mothers starve. Logic would dictate that if the funding was taken away, the benefits of being a single mother would be astoundingly uninviting, and thus America would see a decrease in this trend.  Instead, the government keeps jacking up the pay, teaching Americans that the consequences of their actions don’t matter, because they’ll always be there to catch them. (I don’t think they have the babies for the check… I think they don’t think about the consequences of their actions because there is always a bailout.)

Social Security is projected to run out of the tax income needed to support the benefits it provides by 2015. The program, which was supposed to be a temporary fix, has been circling the drain for years; but any politician who suggests phasing out Social Security will watch their popularity drop faster than an overweight skydiver who forgot his chute.  No wonder, with an estimated 65 million Americans relying on government subsidies, social security is an exceedingly touchy subject to tackle. Most politicians are too afraid to flirt with the idea of tackling this government spending spree.

I’m sure by now everyone has seen the comparison of republicans to Nazi’s made when the inevitable repeal for Obamacare was thrown onto the table. I’ve seen children throw less intense temper tantrums when faced with opposition.

In the end, when the government steps in to help eliminate poverty, it only ends up creating more of it. When the byproduct of a government entitlement program is the very thing it hopes to get rid of, it might be time to shut it down.   Sadly, their aim is most likely on staying in power than helping the poor anyway.

“Let me remind you this has been going on for years. We are bringing it to a halt. The harsh fact of the matter is when you’re going to pass legislation that will cover 300 American people in different ways it takes a long time to do the necessary administrative steps that have to be taken to put the legislation together to control the people.” - Rep. John Dingel

Remember that? The poor are being used as a means to an end, and the social programs are the perfect way to get the agenda fulfilled.

So how do we really help out? “Give, and it will be given to you. A good measure, pressed down, shaken together and running over, will be poured into your lap. For with the measure you use, it will be measured to you.” (Luke 6:38)

Told you He would be back.

The key word here is “give”. While we are so busy “rendering unto Caesar,” we forget the safest, most assured, and in the end most rewarding way to help our fellow man is to voluntarily give straight to organizations that really do help the poor. Places like local churches, shelters, food backs, etc. Places that can not only use our money or donations, but most of all, our time. We need to put in motion ways to stop funding parasitic legislation like Obamacare. Remember, the poor will always be among us. That doesn’t mean we should let the government handle the problem, no matter how efficient they are.

The American Progeny

Of all my interests and hobbies, politics is the one that I can’t get away from but ironically is the one that potentially bores me the most, and who can blame me? As a guy with Attention Deficit Disorder, I can’t watch C-SPAN for more than 3 minutes without suddenly launching into a day dream about what it would be like to have a conveyer belt sidewalk like the Jetson’s had.

For the youth of America, it’s even worse. Why watch anything about some boring people in some boring place, making boring decisions about boring laws? The Kardashians are on for Pete’s sake and they’re about to shop for undies! Besides, they figure they learn enough about the government in school, which is like saying you get enough exercise lifting the TV remote. Hell, many college students couldn’t even tell you who the vice-president is! My little sister can’t even hear the world “politics” without responding with “ew”.

I think the Democratic Party recognized this early and got in on the ground floor of combining entertainment with politics. It’s easy to tell people half truths as long as you throw in a beautiful woman, celebrity, or a snappy joke to distract from the rest of the facts. Take The Daily Show and the Colbert Report on Comedy Central. It’s popular and well recognized because it actually makes politics watchable. To boot, the people who watch it actually feel they are informed enough to make political judgments.

Sadly its places like this that most of the youth in this country (both voting age and non-voting age) get all their information. You won’t find anyone like my sister tuning into Fox News to get the latest coverage on an issue, and with good reason…it’s a snooze fest to anyone without that political itch. Instead, she’ll be subjected to spats of left wing dogma on MTV during commercial breaks from “16 and Pregnant”.

During the 2008 elections the voting youth were bluer than a village of Smurfs with %66 leaning left and only %32 leaning right, and no wonder, the campaign the media put on for Obama and his crew was titan-esque. Celebrities everywhere were speaking out in favor of Obama, and ads were being released in every media available that promoted him and his ideals, and it still happens today! Due to this, being liberal is the popular thing amongst the youth, therefore it becomes a lot harder to hold onto your core values and beliefs for fear of being ridiculed and cast out. Those who do stand their ground aren’t exactly the popular kid.

And you can’t exactly trust the schools to be fair ether. You’ll recall the teacher that was teaching her students to sing Obama’s praises…literally. Professors in colleges saturate their students with their ideology and call it enlightenment, and God help you if you disagree with them.

This is a crying shame for the right who, in the end, truly value the youth of America. While the left look at children as future progressive Democrats, the right looks at them as future Americans. Free from over regulation, debt, crime, and MTV like zombification.

But they don’t know that the left is currently throwing them into so much debt that the dollar is slowly becoming akin to a pink fiver in a board game. They have no idea that global warming has so much evidence stacked against it it’s becoming the laughing stock of the scientific community. (Don’t worry kiddies, the polar bears are gonna be A-ok. Make your carbon footprint a tire track in that car you really want.) They know little about a lot because no one seems to be talking to them.

My main point about all this is that the infamous “Party of No” has made next to NO attempt to reach out the youth of America. While the left and the media have made a concerted effort to sway the youth of America, the Republicans and other right wing groups have made a miniscule endeavor to tap one of the greatest recourses in our country. They need to keep in mind that the more they neglect to inform the youngins’ of this great country the more vulnerable the future of this nation becomes.

Here’s a novel idea: Get them to help you! There are many talented kids out there who believe that America is the greatest country in the world and would love to see it flourish! They know what they want to see and know the latest ways on how to do it. They’ll bring a fresh perspective to a tried and true way of thinking. Encourage them in their beliefs so they don’t feel like they’re sailing alone and reach out to them! Not only do they need you, you need them more so!

Support musicians and poets that write about their beliefs and promote sites like futurevoicesofamerica.org or t4at.com where young men and women write and talk about ideas for the future of our nation. Get the word out through magazines and ads, but for the love of all that’s good, start a dialog!

Without an informed youth you will have an ignorant adult who would rather leave his thinking up to a man he has never heard of and never had his best interests at heart in the first place.

Social Unrest, Political Instability & Geopolitical Conflict… In America?

While America’s political leaders seemed to be focused on Healthcare Reform, 2012 elections and “violent rhetoric,” the stables of life have taking a concerning path. January 13, 2011, cotton was traded at a record high. Sugar and cocoa were traded at the highest prices seen in three decades. Corn and soybean prices continue to rise at a steady pace, while production forecasts look daunting.

A decrease in corn production, combined with a forecast of a possible shortage, raises cause for concern. The Agriculture Department predicts a corn production decrease of 4.9%, however, the Obama administration recently approved the sale of gasoline with an increase of ethanol to 15% from 10%. More than a third of our corn supply will be refined for energy use – corn that would normally go to our own diets or to animals as fodder, causing an increase in animal product prices as well. The United States of America is the only country in history burning its own food supply, and is doing so while on the brink of a shortage combined with economic collapse.

The World Economic Forum is showing an increase demand in water, food and energy due rising population and prosperity. Commodity market prices are soaring to heights never before seen, stealthy raising prices for each of us at the supermarket. A combination of bad economic situations is to blame. Supplies of corn, rice, coffee, sugar, wheat, cotton, etc, were recently predicted by the USDA to have light crops, combine that with soaring oil prices, $91.87/barrel presently, means we could see significant price increases.

In 2008, oil prices were rose to $147/barrel, with $4/gallon gasoline, while corn, rice, and wheat prices spiked. A formula. creating food riots around the globe. In the United States, apart from the price of oil, the average American was not as affected by the rice shortages to the extent of other nations. In some cases, restaurants were limited in their bulk rice purchases, and many food banks had to decrease their rice distribution, but there were not riots in the streets. However, in countries like Haiti, India and Indonesia, food riots occurred, and in some case government control suppose and prices.

In a recent interview, Eric Bolling, of the Fox News channel, told Megyn Kelly, with wholesale prices already high, if oil were to climb back to $147/barrel, commodity prices could increase 60%. Bolling added, “In 2008, we were on the heels of a very robust world economy,” obviously, very different from the situation of economies around the world today. During the interview, recent flooding in Australia was used to explain how commodities are tied together, and how their price and supply levels affect us. The United States imports large amounts of meat and wool from Australia; both supplies having been reduced from the recent floods. A reduced meat supply, on top of an already climbing price, could mean the U.S. will have to look elsewhere to import its meat, which has caused problems in the past. An increase in wool prices tends to cause an increase in cotton demand, which, as noted previously, is at record high.

Not addressed was the devaluing of our dollar due to national debt, and the fed buying its own bonds, something they promised they would never do, an action that history has shown to be a recipe for inflation. Inflation of the dollar, seen through the increase in the price of gold, which traded today at $1,385.80, could put food and energy prices at unpredictable levels. Apart from those who watch and/or listen to Eric Bolling or Glenn Beck, who has been talking about this for years, the current news reports are the first many Americans are hearing about the price increase to come. America has never tried to buy its own debt to control inflation, but the countries that have, including Nigeria and the Weimar Republic, were unsuccessful.

The bottom line, all of our problems right now are tied together. Shortages, price increases, natural disasters, oil prices and inflation will cause our grocery bills, cost of clothing, and the price at the pump to go up. How much they go up is unknown, but the phrase, “Expect the worst, and hope for the best,” comes to mind. Americans, when faced with hard times and unthinkable challenges have a way of banding together to rise above them. In order to do this, we have to focus on the necessities in our lives, not the toys and petty disputes. More importantly, we have to be prepared. Word of advice – hold off on buying that new TV, the ps3 and other unnecessary splurges for a while. Instead, focus on God, family, and the necessities we take for granted everyday, the things that really matter when we face hard times.

A great moment, with a timeless message.
